New Build Property Awards 2022

NEW BUILD PROPERTY AWARDS ON THE COSTA DEL SOL IS LAUNCHED

 

 

The objective of the initiative is to optimize, promote and recognize excellence in the newbuild property sector and, therefore, to attract further quality investment in the region.

Marbella, 29 April 2022.- The real estate sector on the Costa del Sol has recently seen extraordinary growth, which has intensified in the wake of the pandemic.

In 2021 in Malaga province this market has grown by 39% and exceeded 5,000 property sales; the projection for 2022 is much higher still, estimated at over 45%.

Most of the newbuild buyers in the province are foreign investors (#1 UK and #2 Sweden), with high standards and expectations with regards to the quality and service.

In order to satisfy such international demand and expectations, it is a priority for the local sector to understand these and to continuously measure and improve excellence in this real estate market on Costa del Sol.

This was the basis for the real estate and investment agency Luks Marbella, specialized in newbuild properties and with 9 years of experience on the Costa del Sol, to organise the Newbuild Property Awards Costa del Sol.

The Awards aim to also provide a platform for this booming sector and to reward and promote those companies who make ongoing efforts to succeed in these categories and criteria.

According to Marina Nitzak, co-founder of the company, “there are currently more than500 new build projects on the Costa del Sol and there are some noticeable differences in the quality of product and service between one development and another. In our experience and that of the colleagues we deal with, our international client is looking for certain qualities in the properties and service that are sometimes not taken into account by some of the developers. Yet, there are many other development companies, as well as promoters, architects and interior designers that analyse, satisfy and exceed our clients expectations.

That’s why it’s an important recognition for the companies that are the most outstanding in their efforts and quality. It is an awaited by the buyers guide to facilitate their decision of companies and projects to see which of them are the best valued and which have won in the different categories.

The Awards, already dubbed as “The Oscars of the Newbuild sector”, with their 11 categories and criteria will give everyone the opportunity and a basis to reflect on the aspects that investors and buyers value and thus to analyse the criteria that can be improved.

This year marks the ninth anniversary of our company and we wanted to do something different, something of use and importance of our clients, regional market and the star players of it. The forecast for the market 2022-2023 is great, and we all have to make our best effort to continue to improve and innovate what we offer, to protect and grow Costa del Sol brand and attract even more investment.” said Juan Manuel Velilla, CEO of Luks Marbella.

The awards with their 11 categories and criteria will give everyone the opportunity and a basis to reflect on the aspects that investors and buyers value and thus to analyse the criteria that can be improved.

In this way, it is intended that these Newbuild Property Awards Costa del Sol become:

A platform to analyse, promote and improve the standards requested by clients.
Establish key criteria for the sector from a client and agency perspective
A guide to facilitate buyers‘ and investorsdecisions
Celebrating and highlighting companies of excellence
Ultimate objective – to optimise the market and the quality and quantity of investment on the Costa del Sol.

In order to achieve these objectives, Luks Marbella has taken into account, explains Nitzak, that the prizes have to be:

Transparent
A high-level and diversified Jury Committee in the different aspects to be judged
Inclusive – fully open participation for companies and those who vote
Streamlined nomination process
Maximum public and media promotion

“The international client must have a guarantee that what they buy on the plan will be what they get in the final result of the home. The pursuit of maximum quality and excellence is what drives all of us involved in the real estate sector and that is why we have decided to organise this award“, explains Marina Nitzak.

The presentation was attended by the councillor for Works and Infrastructures, Environment and Urbanisations of Benahavis Town Hall, Isabel María Guerrero and the councillor for Foreigners of Marbella Town Hall, Remedios Bocanegra. The councillor for Town Planning of Mijas, Andrés Ruiz León, who will be a member of the jury, wanted to send words of congratulations for the initiative, pointing out that it is a good opportunity to recognise the work that is done in new housing projects and that it reinforces in every way the good image of the Costa del Sol.

Also in attendance were representatives from companies in the sector such as Otero, Sierra Blanca Estates, Reserva del Higuerón, Proinsermant and the sponsoring company, Agrojardín Obras y Proyectos, among others.

These prizes are awarded on a completely impartial and non-commercial basis, as promoters can participate freely and without charge by submitting their projects and promotions.

Following launch, an eight-week voting period begins for the public to vote for their favourites. After this period, finalists in each category will have to submit the necessary documentation to demonstrate and justify that they meet the criteria for the award for which they have been selected.

These presentations will be submitted to a professional and independent jury, made up of councillors from the Costa del Sol town councils, responsible for Urban Planning and similar areas, as well as representatives from professional associations and various associations such as CIT Marbella or LPA (Leading Property Agencies), among others.
